somebody really weird once told me 'motivation gets you started, results keep you going' then i wondered.. we don't have results. so what keeps us going? but i guess the answer has been there all along. determination and perseverance. since when have we not been training? since when have we pon trainings cause we were to tired or we had other things to attend to? other things could always wait, trngs were always first on our priorities list. if so, there is absolutely no reason why we all cannot play properly neither is there any excuse to not give our best. strong opponents is not an excuse its just a sign of weakness on our part. bias referee is not an excuse either its just another reason to cover up our poor attitude towards the game.

our match today was a chance for us to get familiar weaknesses and further improve on our strengths. so what if we lost? we lost with pride and dignity because we didn't give up. so what if we had many miss pass? it doesn't lead to the end of the world, we just have to learn how to pick ourselves up again. so what if we didn't score the ball? nobody can shoot all their balls in, the most important thing is that we tried.

i know we did badly, but not all is lost.. we still have a second chance to win everything back. and I'm sure we'll be able to do it. so fellow teammates, don't give up so soon. trust in yourself and jiaolian. just because we lost one match doesn't mean we can't own the other matches. :D cheer up you people! :D we'll fight back every score we lost today on the following matches, no matter what it takes.

we are a team there is no such thing as YOU cause everybody to lose. its a TEAM game. nobody can cause the team to lose. if its anybody fault, it our whole team fault. so its not your fault.. if you're feeling really bad then pick your standard back again :D you didn't play badly, you're just putting too much pressure on yourself.. i know what JL says can be very confusing at times. but you have to remember, the ball is in your hands and you are the one playing on the court, not JL. so ultimately, the decision is yours. sometimes JL can be wrong too.. because he is not the one playing so it seems easier for him to say but actually pretty hard to do. don't put unnecessary pressure on yourself, just play YOUR game and follow YOUR instincts. and instead of apologising, save the energy to win back what you've lost today on our upcoming matches. cheer up ok? i have confidence in you :D

so.. school has been going on for.. 2 days :D we just had a long long trng today and my legs felt like they each put on 2kg weights! it was super hard to run up and down the court. i guess its cause we took too long a break =.= i hate it when we take long breaks like that.. its so senseless. it breaks off our momentum and our stamina will inevitably drop. why cant our trngs be more spread out? its so cluttered and we always find ourselves with 3 consecutive days of trng and another 4 days of not trng. =.= by the time we return to the court, we'll probably take too long to get back our form..

anw lessons haven't really began yet so its still ok :D haha i think i need to bring pieces of red-cut chilli to eat when i'm falling asleep :D its the only way to keep my heavy eyelids from shutting :D

and. i'm having a really hard time controlling my feelings but im guessing you're having it worse..so i don't really want to make it tougher for you. Afterall, its all about putting others before yourself isn't it?

please help me God.

so we lost to dunman c girls yesterday... i still rmb all the stupid bloody mistakes i made =.=

the 2 freethrow that i missed. the balls that didnt even touch the rim. the shot that i was suppose to hold and not throw it away, i wasn't even standing properly.. how to shoot!?! the pass made to cheryl that was too hard. what was i even thinking of when i played yesterday?? why was everything so off? i threw away so many balls that could've been scored by other people.. i didn't deserve to play at all. JL was right. i gave away the opportunity to score so i should chase it back. but what did i do?..stand there and look at the rest of my teammates chase the ball. wtf. what is wrong with me? i dont want to think anymore about yesterday's game. i'll chase every score i missed-during the dunman match-back on sunday.

we praise God when we win, and we'll praise God when we lose. with God, nothing is impossible.

hahaha sorry joline i was too tired to type your post yesterday so i shall type it today =D tho its a bit late =D haha happybirthday line! hope you enjoyed yesterday =D haha thanks for being such a great friend! going wif me to ahs church camp tho you dont know much people there, going home the long way with me, hearing me complain about this and that, and a lot more =D haha and tho we moved to a new class with new friends and all im glad we didnt stray apart =D

hahaha this year passed really fast, with the bdiv season coming to an end and the snrs going to start studying for their olevels.. haha now their olevel is ending in a few days time =D haha hmm..so thanks for always being there for me, and supporting me. HAHA i was really touched when you said that you'll go BAS to support me if i play for siglap HAHA whether you meant it or not, it was still nice of you =D HAHA. so.. i know this year held a lot of drawbacks for you, but im sure you'll be able to pick yourself up again =D hmm.lets go all out for Bdiv next year okay? no more eating fast food no more drinking soft drinks (HAHA im like more or less referring to myself, you're too healthy alr HAHA) okay.. so thats all =D HAHA.

Joline is right. please don't base your ASSUMPTIONS on what you see. we have been what, 2 years of friends? and you just get upset over a thing that you probably misunderstood? I'm thoroughly disappointed. knowing you, you're probably pissed at this point thinking that it is not a misunderstanding blah blah. but ask yourself, do you know what we were doing that day? did you come over and ask? did you even try to understand the situation before you confirmed your ASSUMPTIONS?

the definition of assumption: a thing that is THOUGHT to be true or certain to happen, but is NOT PROVED.

I'm sure you know what I'm talking about now. i won't say sorry neither would i admit that what i did was wrong. but if my remarks previously hurt your feelings then i am sorry. that was probably my fault. you know very well why Joline and i are helping her. what do you want us to do? go to you pat your back and say you're doing very well? what do you expect from us? to praise your every ball shot into the net? you know very well that if you strive too hard to hear the praises from other people lips the more you won't get to hear it...so what? people don't say you're good means you get angry? means you think you're inferior to the rest? and its not like you don't know what our team lacks. The day history was broken by us. proud to be part of cedar basketball=D

There's nth more to say about the match..its over so no point brooding about what we could have done better or what we did not do. everybody persevered till the end and thats what the cedar spirit is all about isn't it? never giving up till the buzzer beeps.=D training without the seniors...there is no way to describe how it feels. when i first came into cedar basketball until now, i have been training with you guys all the while. laughing, complaining suaning each other hahaha its all precious memories that i would carry with me wherever i go.=D

first day of training:

erm..haha got quite a lot of people nvr really remember cause nvr talk to you all a lot during my first few days in cedar.=D but those days we spent together is unforgettable. those nonsense topics we talk about before JL comes or even when we are doing drills. all the complains before training. its only when you guys are gone that i realised how boring and quiet training is without you guys. but really..JL stop scolding us as much as when you guys are training with us HAHAHA=D but i think he misses you guys too. all our attempts to slack ESPECIALLY our dear vice-captian=D haha every time ''eh you run la i today very tired'' or ''eh walao today my butt cramp leg cramp everywhere cramp leh! you also anot?'' and Melinda's super cold jokes.=D Serene's constant scolding me for pronouncing her name wrongly.=D jiajian's obsession over her perfect hair and pimpless face.=D Lynn's thinking that she very pretty and teasing her about loving that weird cockroach.=D yilei's quietness and smiling.=D mag's slowness and only realising that people are talking about her 3seconds later.=D jiamin's super dao face and always warning us to be quiet cause JL angry.=D audrey's super fast and continuous running..wa partner you really can lose weight..=D no more grouping with jaye and jamie for 3 people. =D rmb our formation the 'come' and 'jamie screen' and loads more haha and jiajian's super far long pass hahaha very out of range and poor jiamin have to run out of the basketball court to catch it haha.=D and my forward partner for 5 on 5 haha everytime take audrey and mag so we can change 2 at a time=D haha

Now everything won't replay itself there would be no more teasing each other no more training together no more going out after training and gossiping about everything.

I just want to say, my life in cedar was so colourful thanks to you guys. playing basketball would be different without you all. you guys let me learn: how important it is to give your best at every game, how to believe in your teammates, how throwing your temper on court will not help anything, how to be confident in yourself and how to persevere to the end.

Most importantly, you guys became more than just seniors, you guys became my good friends.=D friends who would joke with you, share your troubles and your joy. friends who would always be there to pick you up when you fall.=D

yes! we did it!!! champs in south zone and we broke like erm..10plus years of cedar's history? haha=DDD to those people and coaches who felt we won't make it this far: HAH! why does everything have to be so cluttered together? with semifinals coming up trainings have been more tedious with jiaolian giving us more and more stress about how we're not putting enough effort. the stupid weather have been pure madness with the sun scorching at one point of time, and the cooling wind blowing one second later. headaches have been occurring so often, sleepiness have practically taken over my whole body. and as if i don't have enough of things to worry about, YOUR issues suddenly pops out of nowhere adding another big burden to my mind. i can't concentrate on anything anymore. once i try to think of something else, my brain immediately steers back to the fact that smacks me right in face. i don't even want to try studying anymore, knowing that i'll probably just slam the book down in frustration thinking why on earth am i still bothering about you. millions of questions pop up one after another in my brain, the more i try to ignore them and pretend that nothing has ever happened, the more it comes to my mind and haunt me. i'm not suppose to be bothered about you but yet every minute i'll check my phone to see if you called me or smsed me.how stupid can i get?

haha i'm updating=D

walao suck la my performance in the friendly match sucked shit. keep on letting the person running back door. gave away a lot of points. i think JL was quite pissed he keep saying ''ni rang na ke ren pao backdoor wo huan ni chu lai'' then he also say ''ni bu pao quai yi dian wo ye na ni chu lai'' then today when he say all the que dian sure point at me one loh. i really played very badly ar? then after match i went home to bath and get ready to go out but cnt reach your phone, then lobbie called then ask me and joline to eat with her and chewshan(according to joline) and jingjing so i went to eat loh. then finally you called and delayed the timing so i invited lobbie and joline along to my house since my mum not at home haha=D and they DIRTIED my newly changed bedsheet by slacking on my bed with their smelly/stinky/dirty body, i think my bugsbunny still got lobbie's super strong BO smell. hahaha then you called and ask me why i haven leave my house so i say you haven ask me to leave to leave i leave for wad? then you said you wait for me at tanah merah so i went with lobbie and joline then shunbian ask lobbie to go with me haha cause i thought more people more fun and i very long nvr go out with lobbie already..then you haven come yet so after one train past lob and i ask joline to go first cause she leave very far away. sorry moqi that day made you go by yourself sorry sorry. then after like about dunno how many trains past finally you came so lob and i board the train and we went to kallang leisure park! haha but it was quite okay la not very fun haha cause there was a lot of weird of silences but of course not between lob and me la. then i watched bolt haha the dog is super cute! lob keep saying i look like the hamster in the ball but i thought small fry suited that role more haha the hamster is her twin.=D then after that i cabbed home cause it was super late and my dad just got back from japan so he was hurrying me to go home. haha

today got training my muscle hurts big time i don't know why it hurts so much loh i also nvr hit myself. haha after training i went to eat with joline selina yenyi(although she nvr eat) and jolance=D haha then we saw mr chia. today's training first hour was super bad la i think cause all of us were very tired yea okay thts about all.

haha so today i went to plaza sing with moqi mag and lynn. hahaha we ate at subway and then lynn was commenting SUPER LOUD bout how those people who eat by themselves are super poor thing and guess what the person right behind our table is eating by herself and the tables are placed SUPER CLOSE to each other so i think she had a bad impression bout lynn. haha so we left then we went to careffour (i don't know how to spell) to steal some bread and cause mag wanted to buy bread. OHOHOH!!! then we saw this wavy ballon shaped like a person and it looked totally like our one and only da4 zhu1 wanna be. hey you guys=) we playing wif raffles on monday, bet you all are damn scared. haha maybe some of you are just like, we probably will lose. well, don think that way lah =) we haven even play how you know you will lose? if we tried, and we lose, means they really are better than us. but if we just give up, then we don't evven need to try, we'll lose immediatly. is that the reason why we train so hard all this while? just to give up because the opponent is raffles? in the beginning, we thought we would lose to mayflower. then we trashed them. then we thought we would to queensway but in the end we also won them. then we thought we would lose to zhonghua. sure, we lost but like jiao lian said, we weren't playing our best that day, we could've won them. raffles is just another obstacle we have to overcome. together, as one team, i'm sure we can do it.=) we can be one of the few batches that win raffles=) haha we will be the LEGEND batch=))) c'div 0'8.

haha today was okay lah. except the last part was super tiring haha yenyi's ball keep flying out of my reach! so irritating. so first i ran to the exreme left, then i ran to the extreme right then whe the ball finally bounce in front of me, i was too short to get it and the dum ball flew over me?!?! haha could see LEENA and MAGDALENE laughing at me.
hmm. i should learn to control my temper to those people i've offended in the court, i'm really sorry. i get tensed up when i play basketball easily so if i've offended you in one way or another, don't take it to heart. i didn't mean it. sorry.

we had a team talk recently...this talk made think about many many things...

when i first came to cedar, i hated the school i hated to play basketball with the team. it made me think about anglican and i missed anglican more and more. i tried to convince my mum to transfer back many many times but it never worked. once, i just couldn't stand the pressure until i felt like quitting the sport i loved most, basketball. i often couldn't couldn't accept the fact that i was in cedar and i thought that as each passing day i stayed in cedar, i would hate cedar more and more. but i soon i started to like cedar, i don't know when i began to like it but i know i was feeling the cedar spirit. during sports day, the enthusiasm cedar showed was amazing the cheers were shouted in unison and at that point, i felt so proud to be in cedar. what made me like cedar the most was the sec 3 basketballers, and the whole 2S class. yupp, i had a lot of stress in cedar, coping with the studies was an almost impossible task. i couldn't keep up with the amount of work.but lots of stuff made it all worthwhile. all the sec 3 basketball seniors were always there, always caring about us. jiajian, wanjun,melinda,jiamin,yilei,lynn,magdelene,serene,audrey
you guys taught me a lot of stuff. and our professional 2S=) samantha, joan, yanting, jo ann, peiyan, tiffany, taffy, leng jen, joline, stephnie, shixian, xinying, yingchao, hanjian, yuwei, hongpei, amanda, meredith, esther.

after the team talk, maybe many of you are still unsatisfied with the way things are. if you guys don't like to stay in the team because you don't like basketball then you can quit because i think thats a very valid reason. but if your reason is because you feel inferior or smth else, then please don't quit. liking basketball comes from the heart, i know many people who continue playing basketball because they love the sport. so what if you don't get to play in the competitions? so what if coach don't put you in despite the tremendous effort you put in? your passion for basketball is there, and it will never go away. i guess many of you should just ask yourself. why are you playing basketball? if you are playing to win, if you are playing for the glory, or if you are playing to act cool, then please don't bother sweating under the hot sun with us. its not worth it. I've been playing basketball since i could hold the ball. basketbal is not just a sport to me anymore. its half of my life. i don't like trainings i hate to run but since I'm already halfway might as well put in my best effort right? many people laugh at this year c'div. saying that we cannot make it far, are you guys just gonna sit there and be laugh at? you all know how many trainings we have and how tedious our trainings are. do you just want to join in the c'div competitions and come back with nothing after our many months of hardwork?if you ask me, i don't want that to happen. i know we can do it. sec 2 basketballers: lets trust coach alright? trust that his coaching abilities can carry us to greater heights.you all claim that he is the best coach, prove it. to be a good coach means you can transform a bad team to a good one. i think the best gift we can give him is to win something back for him. are we going to do it? as a whole team. ALL the sec 2 and sec 1.
